What's Itinerary
Day 1 – Thimphu: Arrival and sightseeing
Upon your arrival in Bhutan, an agent’s representative will receive you at the Paro International Airport. Complete the immigration & customs formalities after which you will be transferred to your hotel in Thimphu. Register yourself at the reception and relax in your luxurious room to wash off the weariness.
Your tour itinerary for the day covers major attractions such as Buddha Point and the Bhutan Textile Museum.
Buddha Point: The Buddha Dordenma statue in Thimphu is among the most popular tourist attractions in Bhutan. Perched high in the Himalayas, the 51-m tall statue of Buddha is made of bronze and gold. This statue which was made in China and then cut into pieces and shipped to Bhutan emits peace and happiness in the entire country.
Bhutan Textile Museum: The National Textile Museum was established in 2001 and is operated by the National Commission for Cultural Affairs. The museum was set up to promote Bhutan’s achievements in the field of textiles and to sustain traditional weavers and traditional textile patterns.

Day 2 – Paro: Local sightseeing and transfer
Savour a delectable breakfast and proceed for local sightseeing in Thimphu. Visit Memorial Chorten and the National Library.
Memorial Chorten: This large Tibetan-style gompa is among the most important religious structures in Bhutan. Built-in 1974 as a memorial to King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, the chorten is a quaint edifice of world peace.
National Library: Your second stop for the day is the National Library of Bhutan. Built-in 1967 to preserve and promote the rich culture of Bhutan, the library houses traditional texts and sacred religious books. Visit this architectural splendour and breathe in the smell of old books.
After a day of historic sightseeing, you will be transferred to Paro, the little town on the west of Thimphu. Enjoy a delicious dinner and head back to your hotel in Paro for a relaxed stay.
Day 3 – Paro: Mesmerizing Paro Taktsang tour
Relish a hearty breakfast on the penultimate day of your Bhutan tour package and proceed for your transfer to Tiger Nest.
Tiger Nest: The Paro Taktsang is a prominent Buddhist sacred site on the cliffside of the upper Paro valley. Founded in the 8th century as a meditation cave, this Taktsang building consists of four main temples and residential shelters. Seek the blessings of the divine and familiarize yourself with the local culture of Bhutan.
Proceed to your hotel in Paro after a soulful day of sightseeing for a good night’s rest.
Day 4 – Paro: Journey back home
Gorge a delicious breakfast and complete the checkout formalities. Proceed with your transfer to the airport and catch your flight back home.

Being a year-round destination, Bhutan can be planned at any time of the year. The four major seasons winter, spring, summer and autumn have their own charm and it’s entirely your call when to visit the picturesque country. So plan your Bhutan trip accordingly. Spring brings along the vibrant colours of the season carpeting the valley with new blooms. The summers are pleasant with the right amount of sun kissing the land while winters are really cold with snow covering most parts of the country.
Indian nationals do not need a visa to visit Bhutan. All you need is a passport valid for six months or a voter’s identity card which will permit you entry to Paro and Thimpu only. A special area permit from the RGoB in the capital city, Thimpu is required for visiting towns other than Paro and Thimpu. If you are entering Bhutan via road, then you need to present a permit issued by the office in Phuentsholing.
A scenic valley town located west of Thimpu, Paro is about 50 km via Thimpu Highway and is an hour-long drive from the capital. Home to the only international airport, Paro is the gateway to Bhutan for international tourists.
Bhutan is accessible from India by road through West Bengal and Assam. In Bengal, take the road to Phuentsholing from Bagdogra which is a stretch of 170 km and in Assam head to Samdrup Jongkhar from Darranga about 50 km from Guwahati.
