What's Itinerary

Day 1 – Bagdogra Airport / NJP – Phuentsholing

Welcome on Arrival at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station. After greetings, we will take you to Phuentsholing. Check into your hotel & the rest of the day is at leisure.


Day 2 – Phuentsholing to Thimphu

Today you will start your journey from Phuentsholing to Thimphu (7,500 ft), the capital of Bhutan. On the way enjoy the beauty of Eastern Himalaya. On arrival at Thimphu check into your respective hotel. Overnight at Thimphu.


Day 3 – Thimphu Sightseeing

Drive for a full day Thimpu sightseeing starting with Tashicho Dzong, the hose of most of the govt. offices. Proceed to National Library houses some exclusive collection of Buddhist manuscripts & texts as well as the modern literature, Zorig Chusm the school of traditional handicrafts & arts. Visit Institute of Tibetology, handicraft emporium & the National Memorial Chorten. Overnight at Thimphu.


Day 4 – Thimphu to Paro

After having a delicious breakfast, check-out from the hotel and start your journey to Paro for the next phase of your Bhutan tour package from Siliguri. On your way, visit the Shaba river point and capture some great pictures with a backdrop of the river. After reaching Paro, check-in at the hotel and unwind. Latill be taken to visit Rinpung Dzong, a sacred Buddhist monastery and fortress founded by Drung Rgyal. In the evening, you can explore the local market and enjoy shopping. As the day ends, head back to the hotel for an overnight stay.


Day 5 – Excursion to Chele La (Pass) & Haa Valley

Proceed for an excursion tour to Chele La (Pass) & Haa Valley Only (Border of the Bhutan and China). Chele La (Pass), at an elevation of 14,500 ft (4200 mtr), is 42 km drive through the rhododendron & pine forest. It offers a spectacular view of Mt. Jomolhari. Drive for an hour to reach Haa Valley. Enjoy stunning scenic beauty around Haa Valley & monasteries. Overnight at Paro.


Day 6 – Paro to Phuentsholing

Today you will proceed to Phuntsholing from Paro. Check into your respective hotel. Overnight at Phuntsholing.


Day 7 – Phuentsholing – Siliguri

Today is your farewell day for your Bhutan Tour. Drive back from Phuentsholing to Siliguri (NJP)/ Bagdogra (IXB) for your onward journey with happy memories to cherish. In case of early flight you will be transferred to Siliguri from Thimphu on Day 07 with night stay at Siliguri. On Day 08 there will be transfer from Siliguri to Bagdogra Airport.

What is the best time to visit Bhutan?

Being a year-round destination, Bhutan can be planned at any time of the year. The four major seasons winter, spring, summer and autumn have their own charm and it’s entirely your call when to visit the picturesque country. So plan your Bhutan trip accordingly. Spring brings along the vibrant colours of the season carpeting the valley with new blooms. The summers are pleasant with the right amount of sun kissing the land while winters are really cold with snow covering most parts of the country.

Do Indians need visa for Bhutan?

Indian nationals do not need a visa to visit Bhutan. All you need is a passport valid for six months or a voter’s identity card which will permit you entry to Paro and Thimpu only. A special area permit from the RGoB in the capital city, Thimpu is required for visiting towns other than Paro and Thimpu. If you are entering Bhutan via road, then you need to present a permit issued by the office in Phuentsholing.

How far is Thimpu from Paro?

A scenic valley town located west of Thimpu, Paro is about 50 km via Thimpu Highway and is an hour-long drive from the capital. Home to the only international airport, Paro is the gateway to Bhutan for international tourists.

Can I travel to Bhutan by road?

Bhutan is accessible from India by road through West Bengal and Assam. In Bengal, take the road to Phuentsholing from Bagdogra which is a stretch of 170 km and in Assam head to Samdrup Jongkhar from Darranga about 50 km from Guwahati.
